Whiskey is a 3/4 QH 1/4 Draft that was purchased by a client of mine fron a thurd party to pony horses back and forth to the track... he was sold as a bomb proof ex rodeo catch horse that shiuld have been able to do the job no problem.
Upon arrival is was very clear He is GREEN BROKE so he will not work for my client. He has been with us for about 30 days but is still very much a green horse. I cannot tell you anything about his past, the person who sold him claimed to be a reining trainer and we later found out they were a simple horse trader. Unfortunate situation and the money spent is never going to be recouped.
Whiskey stands to mount, he learning to bend on a small circle and we have basically trested him like a 2yo that we are breaking bc that is exactly what he needs. He is a lazier horse but does need a confident rider that knows what the are doing and has experience with greener horses, he does look at new things bc he has never had a proper handle put on him.
I think he can be a wonderful horse for someone with consistency in a good program but he needs the time.
Overall good ground manners. A dentist has confirmed he is around the age he was sold at which was 7. He has no vices.
Currently barefoot. Turnout he is towards the bottom of the pecking order.

He has been with us long enough to be going in the right direction and simply needs someone to take the time and finish him. He is naturally a pretty mover and surely has potential to be successful somewhere.
