This guy came out of training the beginning of the year and was gelded. Had a little bad luck and ended up with an infection that took a while to run its course, caused him to loose some weight and get a little depressed. Fast forward to being 100% healed we turned him out to give him time to be a horse, gain some weight and just feel normal. Noticed quickly his feet had some deep bruising and he was abscessing in multiple places so we have spent time working on getting his feet in order and hardened up. Currently he is barefoot and has been comfortable, but I do think with riding he will likely require front shoes (especially on rough terrain)
This guy is gentle and kind. He isnt low man in the field, will never beat anyone up... he wont even defend himself. Has lived outside 24/7 happily but is equally as happy in a stall. If libing on turnout he is not going to fight other horses for his food, he will just give it up so he does need to be with horses that are kind.
He is a very low key, easy going guy. I dont think he wants to be any type of competition horse or go anywhere fast ... I think he just wants a partner to be laid back and do fun things with. Would probably love to go on trails. We have not formerly restarted him but he has walked around some of our back trails on a loose rein.
Could easily go english or western.
He is handled, turned out, and brought in very easily by my 7 year old daughter and has great ground manners.
