Spunky came to us after being retired due to a condylar fracture in her sesamoid. Her owners stepped up, did the surgery and had a screw place in her hind sesamoid (one with the sock) she spent 90 days on stall rest and 60 in turnout rehab. Xrays came back flawlessly that she is completely healed and both my supervising farm vet and her surgeon agree she will have no limitations due to the injury (if you're not aware a condylar fracture healed properly usually has no future limitations)
She was great for her rehab, acclimated well to turnout and gets along with other horses both geldings and mares. She is low in the pecking order and does not both anyone.
NO vices and NO behavioral issues.
We put her first ride on her since being all cleared yesterday while she was still barefoot and today we went ahead and put front shoes on her as she is ready to be back in full work and on a routine.
This young filly has a great brain. She is not spooky or reactive and is more of a kick ride type, but has plenty of power and athletic ability if asked. She has only had ONE post track ride so still is a blank canvas coming off the track but judging from that one ride she will come along very easy as she is smart and willing.
Amateur friendly!!!
