Speedy last raced in 2022 but you can pull her workout history off equibase and see she was in training all the was through November 2023 consistently. She was xrayed in the fall and an old (very old probably has always been there) chip was found in the knee. Xrays were sent to Hagyard in Lexington to see if she was a good surgery candidate and the surgeons opinion was because it was so old and new bone has already grown over it there is NO reason to remove it. If youre familiar with surgeries or rehabs, you know the corrext answer isnt always to "fix or remove"... 90 days turnout and their prognosis was she would be a great riding horse and be able to do any discipline (jumping will probably be at the lower levels but that can vary and she may never be limited) Connections gave her the turnout and she is 100% ready to find her person and live a good life in a second career!

Full disclosure- she does weave if left in a stall over long periods of time (example, being a racehorse) she is however perfectly content on the farm if she is getting ample turnout and not spending 23 hours a day in her stall.

She's a thicker and lovely built mare. Great disposition! Could go English or western... or even be a multipurpose horse.

She could likely be a family horse or even a great lesson horse candidate!

Feet will be done before she leaves. I was in Lexington and needed to go ahead and video her as is while I was there.
