I am going to start out by saying this mare needs an experienced rider and handler. She also needs someone soft, kind, and willing to let her learn at her own pace. On the track shes very hot and sensitive.... she is NOT mean but can be reactive. She doesnt like shots, she has to be sedated for the farrier... but she will let you sit and groom on her all day long. Loves to train, she will go all day and not get tired. Personally I think getting her off the track, transitioned to a farm and giving her some turnout where she can learn to be a horsewill help tremendously.... at least thats my hope. Regardless shes going to need a little down time and the perfect start would be ground work and bonding.
This is not a horse you can throw out in a field and forget about. Shes going to need proper nutrition, shes going to need good hay... plain and simple.
The good ... shes very athletic and in the right hands I think she has a ton of potential to be a very fun project. I know there are people that thrive on working with horses like her so it's just finding her match. Shes willing, shes smart, and she loves a job. She doesnt have behavioral issues under saddle.
Shes been with her connections with 2 1/2 years. They made sure she knows what a good peppermint tastes like and she thoroughly enjoys however many youre willing to give her!
Again.. experience is necessary. This isnt your first restart, this isnt you "im going to be a trainer" project.
