This is a 3yr old that is not saddle broke yet.
She has been handled on the ground, routine farrier work, loads and trailers... but due to health issues she was started a little late on the ground and never made it to be broke. I know her breeders very well.... they love their horses, are huge supporters of OTTB Aftercare, and all their horses are part of their family.
They didnt want to rush her through training just to get her to the track and try to get her to the races before she was 4 and honestly it was a good decision bc she does not do well when being rushed.
She is a smart filly, we have done a decent amount of ground work and desensitizing with her, I have put stuff over her back and have worked with tack slowly and she seems to accept it okay at a slow pace. She is great on the grojnd as long as you maintain being the "leader" but i could see her walking over someone that simply just doesnt have enough horse knowledge. This Filly needs to be with someone that has the knowledge and education that comes with breaking babies.
She has a lovely way of going and could be a hunter princess in time.
She is naturally a big/stout girl and seems to be very much an easy keeper. Has been barefoot her whole life.
Has turned out with both mares and geldings and is no drama in the field.. she tends to be lower in the pecking order and follows behind.
No vices. No behavioral issues.
Just needs miles, wet saddle pads, ground work and finished out. You'll have a VERY nice quality filly when finished.
