Nana raced once as a 2 year old and showed no potential, getting beat so badly her connections took her home and turned her out to let her grow until her 3 year old year. She came back into training march 2025 right before the meet started with hopes that she may have grown up a little and had a more competitive mindset but it just wasnt the case. Still slow, still no desire to be a racehorse. I briefly listed her summer of 2025 but they were not sure if they wanted to let go of her yet.. at that point in a large stable she got thrown in the back to more competitive horses in training and has been pretty much on 24/hr turnout since August. She is barefoot, does have some chips in her feet and I will be getting them done on my next round with the farrier. I will likely put front shoes on her only to shape her feet up a little bit, but shes more than comfortable barefoot. Currently have her in a stall with a blanket but she is use to all the elements. Does good equally inside and outside and has been with a mixed herd. Very gentle, good around my kids and great ground manners. She is a KIND and HONEST young filly... not reactive or spooky at all.
She looks like a typical field horse at the moment and has only been at my place for a short time but shes quickly gaining weight and when she gets into a routine there is no doubt she will gain muscle and shine up like a new penny!
Shes relatively stout naturally and is going to be unrecognizable with a little grooming and TLC.
Absolutely nothing wrong with her, no blemishes. Just entirely way too slow, and as a racehorse that is not a way to keep your stall at the racetrack.
No vices, no drama. She is an easy keeper.
