I always enjoy getting horses in from this owner simply bc once they're retired he takes them all to the farm for a good while, allows them to be horses (while still getting top notch care) and then when he is ready to move them on to a new home they reach out to me. Lily has been at the farm about a year. She knows farm life, shes has her shoes pulled and has been barefoot (i dont know if she will require front shoes in full time work but currently shes more than comfortable) She gets along with other horses, trailers well, ties, loves being groomed, and has wonderful manners.
Shy when she first meets you but is quick to open up and want to get close to you. She isnt marish and doesnt not have any " mare type attitude"
Very quiet and neat in her stall, we havent even known shes been there to be honest. Absolutely NO vices. Retired sound, wasnt much of a race horse and was not able to break her maiden in her 6 career starts. Tons of potential, natural suspension, great top line and uphill build, powerful hind in and her neck ties into her should so well. All great things for a potential wonderful sport horse.
I do think she would love her own person that she can bond with and someone she can trust who will give her confidence as she learns. She is the type that is going to do anything her partner asks if theyre kind to her.
*has not been restarted. With KY decided to participate in the sub Artic storms we will not be riding anything until it passes and I will not run horses around the arena getting them overly hot and potential making them sick. The video posted is what I have.
