In his prime Hunter was the real deal as a racehorse making close to 500k. He is a horse with 100% class and it just shines through daily. Easy to handle, easy to be around. He can be turned out with ANYONE, large herd or small, mares or geldings. He is just a very quiet boy that is loving the laid back, relaxed farm life.
After his last race 6/18 his trainer noticed some swelling in his leg. Xrays were done, which came back fine and after further evaluation it was decided his Annular ligament was a bit stressed and he was going to need a little time off. The decision was made to retire him and after speaking with the vet the plan of action was to work on the leg a few weeks and then turn him out. He has been turned out (weather permitting) and has been doing wonderfully. He is sound, healthy, and ready to start back with the basics and learn something new. Horses like this one are so hard to come by... Huge heart, great mind, big work ethic.. He is the ultimate package!
