Hooey is about as gentle and laid back as a horse can get (that's including TB or any other breed) his connections have been slowly getting out of racing and he never made it to a race but he did go through training. He has absolutely no injuries or soundness issues!
Long story short the farm was suppose to be under a full time employee taking care of the few horses left there while the owners of the farm (who do not live on site) went on with their careers. Nothing was being done and when they found out the person was fired.
If you look at my photos where Hooey was being held his feet are chipped up and look like a mess, this was RIGHT after all this came to the owners attention... fast forward, I just went back YESTERDAY and took photos of his feet to show they have since been done and they are in great shape. No one was there to help bc they were working and I brought him in from the field with a hay string (bc I couldn't find a halter and lead) while my back was completely out and I could barely walk. This horse is just incredibly quiet and so saintly! He is living outside 24/7 and is a relatively easy keeper. Follow you around like a dog and is completely unbothered by any and everything going around. He really is a horse that can quickly steal your heart bc he has a heart of gold!
