"Olive"
I rehomed this mare off the track a year ago and can speak for her and her disposition. Since coming off the track she has had some training but needs to be finished. She was kept Eligible for RRP this year!
From her owner:
Olive is a wonderful mare, very honest over fences and loves to jump. Is a little out of shape right now because of lack of time.
She's a very confident girl who is the same horse on and off location. Doesn't get worked up about much. Has been on trails and did phenomenal.
Not herd bound at all, and has zero vices. She also keeps a very tidy stall.
Can be lazy, but also has a very forward ride when asked. Her canter has become MUCH more balanced working in a hackamore, and she is very light in the hands in it. Does have a change (seen in updated video) but will need some fine tuning.
She is definitely a mare and needs a patient hand. But once you earn her trust there is no stopping her!
she absolutely loves children and I trust my 4 year old to walk her out. She is a fairly easy keeper for a thoroughbred as well, has really filled out a lot since she came to me last May. Will not take much to get this girl show ready!
