Registered name Reklaw but always known as Griffin. This is one of the harder posts I have ever made. Griffin is one of my personal horses that ended up collapsing his joint in his fetlock 3 years ago. He is FLAT WORK ONLY with yhe exception of the occasional log going on a trail. He was looked at by Dr Priest in Lexington and we did all of his rehab correctly and he has been 100% sound for TWO years. I love this horse and he has a ton of training under him but I just dont have the time to give him that he deserves. He is one of the best horses I have ever crossed paths with and it was a devastating blow to find out he would no longer be my jumper. He is incredibly fancy on the flat and would be great at lower level dressage.. He also loves trail riding and could probably be a hill topper. English, western, bareback.. It doesnt matter. He can be an amateur mount and he has given beginner lessons on lunge line (and off a lunge line)
He has no vices. Barefoot for 3 years and has wonderful feet. He lives on 25 hour turnout when my barn is full and is one of the easiest keepers that stays fat on air.
Vet did recommend a lighter rider.
I will be very picky about where he goes, this guy deserves the best and it is so hard for me. There will be an written agreement in contract for first right of refusal and he comes back to me no questions asked if a situation arises!!!
If you do not have an outstanding current vet reference I will not consider.
Will get more photos this week
