The TB world can be small... this mare originally raced back in 2007 with a family friend of ours and all these years later came to me from a Breeding farm (no way connected)
She retired in 2012 after earning close to 140k and has been a broodmare since.
This mare has NOT had a saddle on since 2012 and we tacked her right up, she stood to be mounted and we took her straight out on a solo trail ride. Stood to be dismounted, untacked, stood cross tied to bath. She even stood quietly out in the woods and just took it all in.
Truly just a gem of a horse and i couldnt be more impressed with how kind, sweet, and sensible she is.
Yes, she is up there in age... she isnt going to be anyone's fancy rated show horse .... BUT.... she would make a heck of a potential lesson horse and I can say with 100% honesty she absolutely loves being out on the trails.
She is a no drama horse in the barn and outside with other horses, regardless if theyre mares or geldings. Just so sweet!
In the pictures she is barefoot. Bc he soles were low and heels a bit contracted (typical broodmare feet) I chose to put shoes on her bc she seemed sensitive to hard ground and rocks. I just didnt see a reason to leave her barefoot when I could easily fix that comfort.
We have only been on her ONE time and that experience was absolutely flawless. I do not consider her a kids horse yet, but from what I saw... anyone's going to be able to ride her after a few miles.
She is in GREAT shape.
