Forest is a cool guy with a heart of gold. He has the personality and mindset you want in a best friend and a partner. Completely Amateur friendly! He has no vices and no bad habits. If you were to look at his race record it would probably worry you bc he had a gap from 2018 to 2020 THIS IS NOT DUE TO SOUNDNESS. Forest doesnt like racing on the dirt track he raced up until 2/2018 on the polytrack at Turfway and the meet ended. From there this connection goes to Belterra but all spring/summer/fall racing in our area is on dirt, we only have polytrack during the winter meet at Turfway. He wss taken home and turned out.. was able to be a horse and even went on a few trail rides. Forest was brough back into Turfway later in 2019 to get fit when a stall came available but truth be told his owner just cannot put out the expenses for a horse she can only run a few months out of the year. Again, NOTHING to do with soundness.
Forest is barefoot and semes quite comfortable. He isnt a spooky horse or a horse, overall pretty steady and go with the flow. He is going to make a GREAT horse for someone and is athletic, sound, and brace enough to go in so many different directions.
Does have a small osselet thats been there for years, its never bothered him or required maintenance through his career.
Forest is the man! He really is and I hope someone sees what I see in this boy.
