This horse is just incredible in every single way. He has quality movement with one of the best brains you'll find on a young colt. He does know he is a colt, however, if you take the simple precautions you would with any intact male he is very easy to have in the barn and very quiet in his stall. Its one of the main reasons he hasn't been gelded and I wanted to give someone the opportunity to have him WB inspected (I think this is the first colt I have said that about) He has impeccable manners under saddle and absolutely no funny business. Incredibly smart and willing, he doesn't get hot or fried, is not spooky and kind of just goes with the flow and takes it all in.
In hand he is a gentleman to have out on walks or through the barn, going past other horses is not an issue and we have narrow aisles.
Movement is HUGE, I can only imagine what an educated extended trot is going to look like! His canter is still coming together and this is only because our arena is narrow and his stride is so huge he is still learning to balance and navigate the turns... in a week or two I'm sure he will be doing it like a pro. Wants to please and is happy natured all the time.
He can be a bit mouthy BUT never mean. Usually consists of grabbing your shirt or your jacket being playful and he is a kind/gentle soul that doesn't need a lot of reprimanding.
Feet get reset Friday.
Will continue riding.
This isn't a horse you want to pass by... he truly has the potential to be an upper level horse and go in any direction.
