Daughter of Shackleford, Cat is absolutely stunning. She is well built, thick boned, nice solid feet and has kept well overall for being a momma since retiring in 2017.
Long story short, this mare was going to be euthanized after her baby was weaned and I COULD NOT let that happen so I paid myself to have her shipped to me, we treated her bags, pulled her coggins and cleaned her all up. She does have an ugly ankle, does seem to bother her but I cannot tell you the history of what happened. She is still very much broodmare sound and has been a great momma thus far. Could make lovely crosses from WB to QH or even continue with TBs. Shes an absolute gem, has THE BEST manners and is so kind and respectful. Gets along with other horses and is the babysitter that takes care of befriends the horses that may need a friend. Shes currently barefoot, has been for several years.
I am NOT going to get into a discussion about how horrible someone was that was going to euthanize her. I stopped the situation and now we are here, where she is safe, cared for, and looking for her home. Realistically I am about triple her price into her after feeding her, farrier work, vet work, and paying her shipping costs to me so PLEASE do not try to low ball price me. I simply tried to do the right thing.
I WILL REQUIRE A CURRENT EQUINE VET REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE. YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR HER IN ORDER FOR ME TO CALL YOUR REFERENCE AS I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO MAKE CALLS WITH EMPTY COMMITMENTS SITTING ON THE OTHER SIDE. IF FOR SOME REASON YOUR VET REFERENCE DOESNT GO THROUGH I WILL HAPPILY REFUND YOU.
