some horses come along that are just special, and Brian is one of those horses. He isn't going to be for everyone, he isn't an amateur horse as he is just very sensitive and needs to be developed slowly and have a ton of confidence instilled in him. He IS so kind and willing. This is a horse you get more with sugar than vinegar... if he feels he is going to " get in trouble" he ducks his head right back in his turtle shell... but with positive reinforcement he will give you 110% and more.
He was a bit spooky on the track, idk if it was necessarily "spooky" or the track environment just overstimulated him bc at the farm he has not looked, spooked, or been hesitant of anything (and there's plenty to see) Most horses spook at the jumps the first time they see them, he never gave a second look.
Phenomenal movement. His stride is just insane and the natural suspension isn't something you see everyday.
He has NO vices and you will not find a pimple on his legs.
I will reiterate... this is a horse that is going to need to go at his pace, he is going to need consistency and someone that gives him confidence to be the upper level horse he is capable of being. He isn't someone's flip, he needs someone's time. Sweet as the come, he is curious, love attention and loves affection. Truly doesn't have a mean bone in his body!
I know his breeder, they are wonderful people.... also his owner (before he passed) and he always wanted to see his horses thriving in life after racing. Every horse from this breeder/owner/trainer combo that's come through my barn has been special... they've stood out in their own ways.
Has had NO post track rides at this time. Just settling in the past few days. I am in NO rush to see this horse go, I adore him... so if he sticks around a while my feelings won't be hurt!
