Babe is a special situation. She has been owned by one elderly man her entire life.. he no longer is able to ride and he wants someone to continue to enjoy and love her. A good and permanent type home is an absolute must. This mare went about a year and a half with no riding and we have put a few on her to get a feel... you guys, she has had A LOT of training over the years. A LOT.
She has always been in western tack until recently. Neck reins, pivots, moves off your leg, stops on a dime, picks up her canter from a halt and much more... a little rusty but it's all still there.
She has been in front shoes her entire life and will assume she will be best comfortable that way.
She does NOT like 24 hour turnout but does like being out daily.
I am going to be completely honest, when she's cycling she is very marish and has an attitude... so please be aware of this.
I do think she would be better suited to an individual person than being passed around to multiple people as a lesson horse. She just seems to be a one person type horse.
We have not taken her on trail rides but from what I was told she has been on quite a few over the years.. they originally started in Arizona before moving East and has been a bit of everywhere.
She has been pampered and treated like a princess her entire life. Again, the most important thing is a good home.
